Hello,

i've a system based on SUSE 9.3 equipped with the following versions of hal/hotplug and dbus:

hal-0.4.7-26.3
hotplug-0.50-19.2
dbus-1-qt-0.23.4-7
dbus-1-java-0.23.4-7
dbus-1-glib-0.23.4-7
dbus-1-gtk-0.23.4-7
dbus-1-python-0.23.4-7
dbus-1-x11-0.23.4-7
dbus-1-devel-0.23.4-7
dbus-1-0.23.4-7
dbus-1-mono-0.23.4-7

automatic mounting of a DVD Ram with UDF filesystem doesn't work. Debugging HAL shows the following output:

05:01:25.882 [I] linux/block_class_device.c:119: volume.label = ''

as a consequence, the mount command is called with reiserfs as filesystemtype. This is totally confusing the reiserfs module (crashing).

Is this a know problem? Grepping the Changelog doesn´t show matching entries.

Mounting with hald disabled is working:

Aug 3 04:51:56 lotus kernel: Unable to identify CD-ROM format.
Aug 3 04:51:56 lotus hal.hotplug[10773]: DEVPATH is not set
Aug 3 04:51:56 lotus kernel: UDF-fs INFO UDF 0.9.8.1 (2004/29/09) Mounting volume 'LinuxUDF', timestamp 2005/08/01 04:41 (1078)

with the following fstab entry.

/dev/dvdram /media/dvdram subfs noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0

Greetings, Joerg
