Yah, I wonder if it's normal that it takes 8 second to probe a USB
printer? 

Another point is, due to the split up in multiple processes, that we can
process several sysfs hotplug events at the same time (there is, IIRC, a
TODO in hald/linux2/hotplug.c).

I really think this problem ought to be dealt with at the init script
level but that is just my opinion :-)
