If you guys want to test patches first, just use my uber patch at
http://www.marcuscom.com/downloads/freebsd_hal_git.diff .  When you're
sure that's not going to break anything, I can start committing.  But
it's really hard to get a stable tree.  I've already had to rebase once
since I sent my first email, and it looks like I'm going to have to do
it again.
