Well, I suppose it's cheaper than buying me a shiny new laptop[1]. ;-)

On a more serious note, this might be more complex that we think due to
feedback effects - the last thing we want are flashing screens. I'm not
sure the addon should be part of the hal tarball if it's just for
debugging.

[1] I'm looking to buy new laptop as this one is dying. I'm looking at
the Toshiba A120 but there's no mention on google about Linux support.
Email me off list if you know of any success/failures of this model.
