Is there a "device" link in sysfs? Like:
  ls -l /sys/block/cciss\!c0d0/device
  /sys/block/cciss!c0d0/device -> \
    ../../devices/pci0000:04/0000:04:11.0/0000:13:00.0/0000:14:08.0
