Kernel 2.6.21-rc* and net devices

Hi,

I noticed that when I configure my 2.6.21-rc2 kernel without
 CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED
(i.e. General setup -> Create deprecated sysfs files = no) hal
is missing all /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/net_* devices.
They were recognized in 2.6.20 whether or not
CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED is set.

With the above setting, /sys/class/net no longer contains actual sub directories
for every network device, but only symlinks to the underlying "real" devices.
Also the "real" device directories used to contain symlinks like
net:eth0 pointing
to the corresponding /sys/class/net sub directory which are missing now.
