I don't know all technical details, because I don't have such a phone, but 
after what I have read on the Motorola website you can use this phone with 
iTunes like a ipod. 

The problem is that currently all Motorola v3 series phones get detected as 
ipod music player, with this patch only the v3i get detected this way.

I commit the patch.
