It work with  vbe_post and vbemode_restore from X and console. Would be nice 
if you could test it on your system.

Sure? 'gnome keyboard' call setkeycode to set unknown scancodes? Do you get 
any unknown scancode if you boot to /bin/bash? 

And yes, I can confirm all other 'unknown scancodes', but not the 3 as I 
wrote.
