It's the next major version of HAL as I mentioned back in December [1].
Don't be left out for not knowing! I don't know how DeviceKit is going
to look like either! But the past year or so I've tried to think hard
about how we can improve the way HAL works; nothing specific, mostly
ideas here and there. Anyway, Kay Sievers and I came up with some
sketches during linux.conf.au of what it may look like; I'll try to post
something when I get back to work next week [2].
