Are you missing a 0 there? My 6 cell battery has a 56 Wh design charge
and there are 9 cell batteries available...

Besides I don't think hal should try to "correct the world". If the
battery is broken then a higher level app (i.e. gnome-power-manager)
could apply a set of heuristics to tell the user about it.
