The whole stuff go into the lirc package and not into HAL if I see the patch 
correctly (and it has to). Do you want comments from the HAL developers?

About the fdi-file: please put different products of the same vendor into a 
int_outof FDI directive. This is much more faster (and save memory) than make 
for each product a new match.
