automount ntfs volumes (was ntfs volume and locale= option)

Could you elaborate, why that didn't work out? What were the problems wrt hal?
If ntfs-3g is updated and the ntfs-3g package ships the fdi file, I'd
expect the ntfs-3g maintainers to update the fdi file accordingly.
