I was just investigating on the need for a GDL to be maintained by hal... Is there any application that uses this GDL created by hal, or is it for its own needs.. Also, there are many properties that are stored by hal but never seem to be used.. I "feel" the GDL is maintaied by hal so that the other applications like g-v-m,g-p-m which change/query the device properties remain light and a consistent database is maintained by HAL. This seems to be the main fuction of HAL, is it?
