I am currently running Arch Linux and HAL version 0.5.12<br>Several updates to HAL didn&#39;t fix the problem.<br><br>When my computer turns on and all the daemons start HAL takes about 20 seconds to start.<br>After I log in I can restart HAL in 0.1 seconds.<br>

<br>I edited /etc/rc.d/hal and changed line &quot;/usr/sbin/hald&quot; to &quot;/usr/sbin/hald --verbose yes --use-syslog&quot;<br><br>I pasted the relevant section of everything.log here: <a href="http://gunnewiek.com/up/everything.txt">http://gunnewiek.com/up/everything.txt</a><br>
