I forgot: I attempted to make the tests work correctly depending on the
local kernel version but this lands us in ifdef hell. So at least for now
just let the tests fail on older kernels.

There's a bit of time-pressure on this, libevdev is now required by evdev
and it won't build on older kernels, preventing users from building the xorg
stack from git.
