<pre>Notice that all the affected tests use gradients and there is this comment in
from the HSW specs (as explained also in the bug report):
"When EWA used for non-anisotropic filtering and the coordinates have zero
derivative the computed LOD is 0 instead of -inf."
So my guess is that this is only expected to work when the texture gradients
meet certain conditions...</pre>
