My system has a Intel Haswell (HD Graphics 4600) and ubuntu utopic. I also tried running Debian Jessie on a chroot. I also needed to build rbdoom3bfg from git master, as I didn't find available .debs for utopic. In both cases, with system mesa and git master mesa, I didn't have any problem.
