Ok, thanks for testing this, we'll work on integrating some form of this fix.

Yea, the framebuffer/X startup problem sounds like a separate issue, I'd
suggest opening a new bug with the usual Xorg.0.log and dmesg (with
drm.debug=0xf kernel command line) combo attached.
