Looks like I can easily recreate this hang by booting, starting a 'cat
About-30G-files >/dev/null', and then starting 'digikam'.
This time, when it hung, I 'ctrl-alt-F2' to a terminal, logged in as root,
killed off the offending 'cat' process, did a 'sync', and ran my script.
You should find the i915_error_state file in the tarball.
