If I understand correctly, I booted again with drm.debug=0xe, run 'xrandr
--output DP1 --mode 800x600' and collect the dmesg.
For the stock kernel, 3.0.13-0.27-pae, the mode was not found. Therefore it
remained at 1024x768. For the kotd, 3.0.57-10-pae, the white line appeared on
the display. Attaching both dmesg.</pre>
