So the bad news is that your system is advertising acpi_video1 as the right
backlight controller for your display, but it sounds like that it is the wrong
one.
Try something like acpi_backlight=vendor or acpi_backlight=legacy
The bug sounds like it solely lies in acpi_video1 being dysfunctional and still
claiming to be the right interface to use.</pre>
