After shutting down laptop and wait an hour or so the lines are disappear. nomodeset work for me but i can't change brightness via FN-Key or system. the last kernel 3.9 doesn't solve this issue. same issue with last ubuntu 13.10 release too. Please help, i like Ubuntu more than windows 8.
