Roel, can you please file a new bug report for your issue (easier to keep track of things in case they turn out to be different bugs, which is rather likely here)? Please boot your kernel with drm.debug=0xe added to your bootline and attach the complete dmesg (after the Oops happened). Also if the Oops is a regression, attempting a bisect might be really useful.
