This issue has been raised at the Kernel Bugzilla at:

However, that bug report has been marked CLOSED MOVED with this final comment:
"No more info is needed and no work can be done in ACPI to solve this, please
follow the bug [at freedesktop.org]"
Please advise on further troubleshooting steps? Those of us who have this
hardware would like to help fix this problem. :)
