<pre>Added the assert back (but also my horrible work-around to not crash). I've
done all the things that made it crash before and not hit the assert at all -
so, gdb-aside, I would assume that it's not going through sna_validate_gc for
this crashing path; or the gc is corrupted later =) HTH.</pre>
