I wanted to say I reverted bfca05275a594920ad5111f5a23ec6fadc0d0780.
Also, I can confirm that if I run kms_flip on drm-intel-next-queued, these
problems don't happen. But you need 6 patches on top of intel-gpu-tools if you
want the test suite to finish (patches on the mailing list).</pre>
