There's a couple of things that are unique to 965gm, so it could just be hitting code paths no one else does. Can you please compile xf86-video-intel.git with ./configure --enable-debug and attach your Xorg.0.log? (The log is just to check that assertions are enabled and the software versions are up to date.) --enable-debug will enable assertions, which I hope!, will lead to X crashing when it detects the error.
