This is a tough one. The display port spec tells us to do things in the order
of the patch, and we've tried it before, *but* it regresses some setups. In
order to apply this, we'd have to figure out how to deal with those.
Unfortunately the "no regressions rule" trumps "correct by the specs", even
when the latter fixes stuff.</pre>
