<pre>I think testing with a different monitor might be useful and at different
resolutinos. If that doesn't work then I think we conclude that it's indeed a
hw issues. And if Windows doesn't manage it their usually not really much of a
chance to get things to work, but occasionally the linux driver is actually
better ;-)</pre>
