I've just checked and kernels not using the mentioned quirk work like a charm
with "Legacy Boot Rom" disabled in BIOS. (XPS13 IVY). This quirk
(QUIRK_NO_PCH_PWM_ENABLE) causes backlight to turn completely off after kernel
start on legacy-feee machines. Do we really have to reapply it in 3.14? Isn't
disabling this option (which is a good thing performance-wise) engouth?
