<pre>It does affect timing and memory layout - but since it strictly checks the
memory we can be sure that is relatively safe. In my experience valgrind is
fast enough not to adversely affect DRI2 operations. If it still doesn't die
under valgrind, we'll have to add canaries to X.</pre>
