You could also try the suggestions from <a href="show_bug.cgi?id=80773#c36">comment #36</a> there: boot your machine normally, hibernate, then when you want to resume it, use the modprobe.blacklist=i915 option and see it it solves the problem. You could also run "slabinfo -v" every time you resume to see if it catches some corruption on the Kernel slabs.
