Not really, <a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_NEW "
title="NEW --- - [snb] TearFree now triggers stuck semaphores (due to Eliminate the synchronous wait from inside TearFree)"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=70764">https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70764</a> tracks that this
hang is more likely with TearFree (fundamentally the hang is still the same
hardware issue, but it is interesting that TearFree has a higher chance of
hitting it).
If you want to experiment:
<a href="http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~ickle/linux-2.6/log/?h=requests">http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~ickle/linux-2.6/log/?h=requests</a>
should have an interesting fix, at least for trying to prevent the TearFree
leading to the semaphore hang.</pre>
