<pre>Okay, one thing that got clearer to me now: Udev is also the mechanism for
triggering the xrandr auto-configuration. That means there is a very
fundamental difference between my first and my second report, namely a number
of xrandr commands executed when docking and un-docking in the second, but not
in the first scenario (since no udev support).
One bug is then, I guess, the non-graceful handling of the non-udev situation,
but do not seem to be the reason for the other glitches I observed. I'll keep
playing with it and will try to provide more information for you.</pre>
