Hello,
this is the same machine and symptoms that
<a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_RESOLVED bz_closed"
title="RESOLVED FIXED - [915 TV(integrated)] querying Randr-information enables LVDS output due to spurious transient TV detection"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=31519">https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31519</a> were reported for. I decided
to report a new bug because it's a different kernel/xorg combination now
compared to the two years old previous bug.
Chipset: 915GM
System arch: i686
Distribution: Debian (Jessie)
Machine: Thinkpad X41
related packages:
libdrm-intel1: 2.4.58-2
xserver-xorg: 1:7.7+7
xserver-xorg-core: 2:1.16.1.901-1
xserver-xorg-video-intel: 2:2.21.15-2+b2
linux-image-3.16.0-4-686-pae: 3.16.7-2
When I run
xrandr --output LVDS1 --off
the LVDS output goes off as expected, but then running
xrandr
without option reenables it again.</pre>
