Obviously we don't share the same hardware. Only the symptoms are/were the same as from the BUG's reporter. Unfortunately I can't get you info via external channels like usb/ serial/console. Additinonally, I don't use Ubuntu. For the moment, I've recompiled my kernel to include i915 into the kernel and attached myself to the more appropriate freedesktop <a class="bz_bug_link bz_status_NEW " title="NEW - GPU HANG: ecode 4:1:0x01000000, reason: Ring hung, action: reset" href="show_bug.cgi?id=91976">BUG 91976</a>.
