Bordelands 2 (via Steam).
The game locks up and crashes a few moments later during the initial level,
just before Claptrap enters the building. This happens every time.
Hardware: Thinkpad X1 Carbon, Gen 3, Haswell, i7-5600U, Intel HD Graphics 5500.
