[Intel-gfx] [i945GM] Flickering with 2.6.31-rc3

Dear All,

following Jesse's advice here [1] I updated to kernel 2.6.31-rc3 and
libdrm, Mesa, xf86-video-intel of current git master, xserver 1.6.2, to
resolve the huge memory leaks experienced earlier using UXA and GEM.
However, now every application using Mesa makes the LVDS flicker so that
it becomes unusable. Comparing glxgears output though shows that using
kernel 2.6.31-rc3 this is 40% quicker than using kernel 2.6.30. However,
kernel 2.6.30 with the same userspace does not show this flickering.

What is the reason? What can I do?
