after having upgraded a few things the kernel oops has gone but intel
cards do not work though

We're now with :
- kernel : 2.6.30-rc5
- xorg : 1.6.1.901
- intel driver : 2.7.99.1
- libdrm : 2.4.9

dmesg error :
<3>[ 32.240059] [drm:i915_irq_emit] *ERROR* called with no initialization
<3>[   32.468218] Xorg:7518 map pfn expected mapping type uncached-minus
for a0000-b0000, got write-back
<3>[   32.898619] Xorg:7518 map pfn expected mapping type uncached-minus
for a0000-b0000, got write-back
<3>[   32.898868] Xorg:7518 map pfn expected mapping type uncached-minus
for a0000-b0000, got write-back

the xorg.log : http://pastebin.com/m1e5923d9 which ends with
(EE) intel(0): vgaHWSaveFonts: vgaHWMapMem() failed

any hint to solve this point ? do I need to open a ticket ?
