[Intel-gfx] fedora 10, dual head, dual screen, memory allocation error

Hi,

I am working on a project that uses two X screens to implement two independent openGL windows. I have no problem with this using an NVidia card and drivers. I attached the xorg.conf for the Nvidia system below.

I would like to remove the Nvidia card and use the built in Intel graphics. I currently am testing on an Intel DG35EC motherboard although my final target will most likely be some version of a Q45 motherboard.

I am currently running Fedora core 10.

I have been able to get the Intel graphics to the point where I can run both monitors through the onboard graphics, but both of them just clone the same image. I am unable to get X to create two independent screens for the Intel graphics as I can with the Nvidia graphics. I have read everything I can find online, and spent several days trying every combination of xorg.conf options that I can possible think of.

One thing I have tried that seems like it should work is to use the same BusID for both Device sections, but when I use BusID "PCI:0:2:0" for both devices I get a memory allocation error from the driver.  Any time I think I have the settings how they should actually work I get the following;

Backtrace:

For my application I do not want to use Xinerama, or one big desktop. I must use two totally independent X screens, with a fullscreen openGL window on each. It seems like it should be simple to get the intel graphics to support this, but all of the obvious settings don't seem to get me the results I need.

All of the information looks like I have two pipelines, A & B with each connected to a different graphics output. The problem for me seems to be that there appears to be only one X screen instead of the two I am configuring for.

I would greatly appreciate any help or advice for how to make this work.

Thank You,
Charlie Grisafi
