Hi,

I have an "Intel Desktop Board D945GCLF2" with "Intel GMA 950".

I run "Gentoo Linux", Xorg-Server 1.6.3 and xf86-video-intel-2.8.1.
using built in configuration. Xrandr 1.3.0, randrprot 1.3.0.

The output VGA1 and TV1 are initialized to 1024x768 but the output of
TV1 is only grey (black & white).

If I try to set the TV_Format with xrandr I got an error:

> xrandr --output TV1 --set TV_FORMAT PAL

X Error of failed request: BadName (named color or font does not exist)
Major opcode of failed request: 148 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 11 ()
Serial number of failed request: 17
Current serial number in output stream: 17

Switching the resolution (800x600, 1024x768) on the TV works with xrandr.

Is there something I can do to get colored TV output?

thanks for hints.

regards

  Wilfried
