For your question: This is a poulsbo/gma500 based thing, so no real<br>
linux support from Intel's open source group. There's the gma500<br>
driver in the kernel, but that one only supports kms and no<br>
accelaration. Or you can frustrate yourself with the blob.<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>I finally I was able to load grub2/refind/elilo/efishell from the 32bitUEFI-only but cannot boot any kernel (nomodeset etc,). The screen just shows "Loading linux... Loading initial ramdisk, Trying to terminate EFI services again" and no more sign of life, so it seems the kernel crashes immediately, no one single printk output, so I'm curious to know if it's only a matter of gpu or are there other lockins? Any hint (.config, boot params, specific source tree etc.) will be appreciated.</div>

I recommend to return that thing and either wait for a baytrail (real<br>
linux support there) or buy a cheap non-atom core with intel hd<br>
graphics.<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Yes I'll do.</div><div>Thanks.</div><div><br></div><div> Nico</div><div> </div></div></div></div>
