<div dir="ltr">Hello <div><br></div><div>Sometimes i watch movies online or with Smplayer via HDMI from my </div><div>Asus K73S laptop.</div><div><br></div><div>Imediate problems:</div><div> - Although sound works OK on TV , after decoupling HDMI cable </div>
<div>i dont have sound anymore on the laptop,problem solved only by restarting</div><div>- even if HDMI cable is connected to the laptop some(few apps) are displayed</div><div>on the laptop !!(smplayer ->just menus , when i press play , the movie is </div>
<div>showing on TV)</div><div><br></div><div>After many connections and disconnections of the HDMI cable from laptop,</div><div>problems start appearing:</div><div>- chrome ,compiz , gnome-terminal are freezing</div><div>
- X behaves weirdly , alternating black screens with screens that show</div><div>white rectangles and parts of good windows,etc -> only solution ->X restart</div><div>- before the first plugging of HDMI cable i pressed ctrl+alt+f1 and logged </div>
<div>on tty 1 and tty 2. at the end of the experiment  both ttys were frozen.</div><div><br></div><div>Unfortunately there are very few error messages that could shed a light </div><div>on these problems:</div><div>-X.0.log shows nothing</div>
