Summary: Tab width and status bar text
           Product: LDTP
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: Normal
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: ldtp-maint at gnome.bugs
        ReportedBy: lakshminaras2002 at gmail.com
         QAContact: ldtp-dev at lists.freedesktop.org
     GNOME version: 2.11/2.12
   GNOME milestone: Unspecified

In gedit, when the tab is pressed , the col #no value in the status bar
increments by exactly the tab width. But the getcursorposition returns a
increment of 1 because the tab is considered as a single character. When I
retrieve the status bar text,it is not possible to access this col #no value.
If this retrieval is possible , then 2 test cases can be tested.
