[Libdlo] green screen - mimo 710 - ubuntu 9.04

I've successfully installed 
udlfb-0.2.3_and_xf86-video-displaylink-0.3.tar.gz.  However, the most I 
can get out of the monitor is a solid green screen on start up that 
slowly scrolls line by line to black (and says black).

I am using mimo 710 and ubuntu desktop 9.04 (default install) x86 32bit

Any advice? or can someone least point me in the right direction?

I'm not much of a device hacker but I am willing to help anyway I can 
with testing and/or documentation.
