Hello everyone,

I'm just getting into the DisplayLink for linux stuff and I'm hopping
that some of the things I do for my current project can help the list. I
recently made a large demo board with 10 7" touchscreen MIMO monitors in
it. Initially I had hoped to run them all off once PC but alias that did
not prove to be possible with the current state of the DL link drivers .
I had a rocky start to the project as I was under the impression that I
could run all 10 from one PC (MAC actually) but that proved not to be
the case, as I got further into it I found there are inherent limits in
the DL software for mac at 4 monitors and Windows at 6 monitors. MiMo
does not document this well.

So I ended up making it all work using two PC's with all my app's
written in PyQT. 10 apps on 10 monitors all talking over sockets.

What I'm trying to do now is convert everything over to ubunto 9.10 (or
whatever). Initially I'd like to try and set up 10 instances of X each
starting GDM and then selecting the app to start for each monitor with
the mimo touchscreen.

I'll keep you all updated on my progress and if there is some info you
would like from me or things that I can help you to test please let me
know. I'm sure I'll be bothering you all as well as the project movies
forward.
