Hi Rainer Bielefeld,

I reinstalled Ubuntu 10.10 & installed the latest LibreOffice RC 1 & I find
that the latest version of LibreOffice does not have this problem. (Although
LibreOffice now has much bigger problems like randomly freezing on saving any
file [Bug 32397]) 

So it is likely the final version will also not have any problems launching
from the panel.

So I am closing this bug.
