Sorry for my English.

There is a couple of problems with apparently a common root.

You can not change the view mode in runtime: "print layout" or "web layout"
(from BASIC too
ThisComponent.CurrentController.ViewSettings.ShowOnlineLayout = True   ' does
not work
)

BASE does not remember the mode for the form - after the re-opening *.odb form
mode is always "print layout".

As a result, in the "print layout" mode:
you can not hide scrollbars
see gray areas beyond the boundaries of the page
