Bug 37913 sounds suspiciously like the same bug, except that they imply that it
appears on other parts of the settings, even though they only mention
Languages. I just tried all settings, and only Languages crash on my computer.

I created a new windows XP account. The first two times I started writer from
that account, the Languages option worked fine. From the third time onwards, it
crashes consistently.

BTW, you shouldn't need to read Greek to deal with this bug. The only Greek I
get to see is the Greek I type myself into LibreOffice: as I mentioned before,
I use the English version of Windows XP and the default, English, UI of
LibreOffice. The Windows XP settings that I mentioned should not have any
effect on the Windows XP or LibreOffice UI.

On the other hand, if LibreOffice makes some decisions based on the locale
(e.g., the locale is Greek, so let's load the default Greek dictionary--oops!
there isn't one!) it's probably worth investigating whether the bug is caused
by the different locale, especially as we seem to have eliminated everything
else.
