OK, thanks, that's good information and a possible work-around. It also implies
that the problem will probably be easy to fix.

Your method of deploying Java isn't the standard one. If you install 1.7.0 and
uninstall 1.6.xx, as most are likely to do, LO doesn't find the new version.
